Full Training 3'000-hour Program

Aim of the program:

To train people who desire to become qualified watchmakers for the after-sales services.

Program (may be modified at any time):

The program is based on practical work at the bench, which will enable students to master all types of modern Swiss mechanical and electronic watches.

Several hand tools will be made during this session, which will remain the student's property after completion of the course.

Each student is trained in basic mechanical operations, handling tools and related technology.

The theory will be given during each session on the various subjects.

Application requirements:

  • Please note that this course is a very intensive one and requires strong motivation
  • Candidates must be over 21 years old
  • Have a previous professional experience outside the watchmaking field (no watchmaking experience required)
  • Be able to speak and write English fluently
    • IELTS: International English Language Testing System: 5.0 – 6.0
    • CEFR: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: B2
  • Candidates should send their application form and all required documents (see the brochure) to WOSTEP by March 31, 2020
  • Space is limited. Short-listed candidates will be requested to take a 2-day test at WOSTEP to evaluate their ability and manual dexterity, as part of the final selection process.

Price:

CHF 34'470.- (without accommodation) tuition fee includes the following:

  • Tuition, administrative support and expenses
  • Toolkit and theory books of horology
  • Special courses on specific products, visits to factories
  • Resources ( infrastructure, tools, machines, movements, spare parts)

Diploma:

The WOSTEP diploma will be awarded to candidates who have completed the exercises required during the course and passed the 5 intermediate examinations and final examination.

The diploma is recognised by the Convention Patronale and the Swiss watch industry and its representatives throughout the world.
